logo The Yale Project on Climate Change, an initiative of The Yale School of Forestry & Environmental Studies, seeks to elevate public discourse and encourage public engagement with climate change solutions. Project Director Tony Leiserowitz is working with the Center on a number of research projects. The mission of The Yale School of Forestry & Environmental Studies is to prepare new leadership and create new knowledge to sustain and restore the long-term health of the biosphere and the well-being of its people. For more than hundred years, first as a pioneering school of forestry, Yale has marshaled the expertise of diverse disciplines in the service of responsible stewardship of the environment.

logo The Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research addresses crucial scientific questions in the fields of global change, climate impacts and sustainable development. Researchers from the natural and social sciences work together to generate interdisciplinary insights and to provide society with sound information for decision-making. The Center is developing a strategic partnership with PIK focused on using communication research to improve the impact of climate change communication programs in various regions of the world.

logo The Institute for Environmental and Sustainability Communication at the University of Lüneburg, Germany, is engaged in topics of environmental communication in the context of research and development projects. The focus of interest of the institute is to deal with questions in the context of sustainable development. In particular the perspectives of education, consultation and communication are considered. Center Director Ed Maibach is guest editor for the June 2008 climate change edition of the institute's online journal, "Communication, Cooperation, Participation. Research and Practice for a Sustainable Future (CCP)." (The International Journal of Sustainability as of Fall 2008)

logo The School of Journalism and Communication at Xiamen University, China, has been working with the Center to analyze climate change coverage in the Chinese press. Xiamen University is located in the southeast of Fujian Province, within one of the country's special economic zones. The Center is working with the School of Journalism and Communication to launch a sister climate change communication center at Xiamen University.

logo The Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai, India has worked since 1936 to contribute to policy, planning, action strategies and human resource development, in areas ranging from sustainable rural and urban development to education, health, communal harmony, human rights and industrial relations. Their focus has been on the disadvantaged and marginalised sections of society, such as organised and unorganised labour, women, children, Dalits, and tribals. The Center is working with the Tata Institute to develop a sister climate change communication center there.




Weather Channel The Weather Channel has been a round-the-clock source of weather information since 1982. The Center formed a strategic partnership with the channel in Fall 2007 to work on projects conveying climate information to a broad public audience.
